Unlock Your First Mount

To unlock mounts, you must earn Level 20. Mounts can be acquired at the horseshoe icon in northern Everfall, or in the Store.

Achieve Character Level 35

Achieve level 35 by earning XP. The fastest way to earn XP is by completing Main Story and Side Story quests!

Buy Your First House

Purchase a house at any of Aeternum's bustling settlements. Owning a house means instant fast travel from anywhere on the map, access to extra storage, trophies, and furniture decoration.

Complete 1 Regular Expedition

Use the Activities tab to find Expeditions to play. Once you reach the required level, you can click a button to find cross-world groups to play with.

Get at least 1 trade skill to 150

What's your skill of choice? Work your way up to 150 to show the world you mean business.

Complete The "Prodigal Daughter" Solo Trial

Follow the Main Story Questline into Shattered Mountain to confront your nemesis in the flesh.

Complete The "Tempest's Heart" Expedition

At the seat of Isabella's power, group up with 4 others to overcome her most demanding challenge.

Play in 5 "Outpost Rush" Matches

Once Level 60, you unlock "Outpost Rush" (OPR), Aeternum's eternal battleground. Join from the Activities screen and play in 5 matches to contribute your piece to this goal.

Complete 1 Mutated Expedition

From the Activities screen, you'll find Mutated Expeditions. There are 3 live per week, and demand a well-coordinated team at the top of their game.

Get at least 1 trade skill to 250

150 was impressive, but 250 demands respect.

Participate in an Invasion Defense Army

Settlements are coming under attack! It seems the forces of corruption want to claim this island--only together can humanity overcome their onslaught. Sign up for an Invasion at any settlement's War Board.

Attempt the "Trial Of The Devourer" Elite Trial

20 players in a Raid Group required to enter. Find the entrance in Brimstone Sands, or on the Activities screen under Elite Trials.

Attempt the "Hive Of Gorgons" Elite Trial

10 players in a Raid Group required to enter. Find the entrance in Cutlass Keys, or on the Activities Screen under Elite Trials.

Loot 250 Doubloons from the Cutlass Keys Lawless Zone

Head to Cutlass Keys and enter the new Lawless (PVP) Zone, and survive long enough to bring out 250 doubloons from cursed chests--or, score them off another player in combat. Everyone here is flagged, and friendly fire is on ... so be careful.

Achieve an Average Gear Score of 650

Get all your equipped gear up to an average Gear Score of 650 to make your contribution to this shared goal.

Trials of Aeternum FAQ

How do teams work?

All players, regardless of their Server, will be split into 3 teams: PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S. This is a cooperative event, so everyone will work together toward completing the same challenges, even if they’re on different teams. However, each team will have their own individual progress. For example, if Adventurers on PC unlock a weekly reward faster than Adventurers on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S, the Adventurers on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X|S are still eligible to unlock that reward when all relevant challenge milestones are completed.

When will I receive my unlocked weekly rewards?

Unlocked rewards will be distributed throughout the event after each week.

Are Legacy servers eligible to participate in Trials of Aeternum?

No. Trials of Aeternum delivers a compelling New World: Aeternum launch experience for new characters from the shores to Shattered Mountain. Only Standard servers across PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S can participate in the event.

Are Standard - Console Only Worlds eligible to participate in Trials of Aeternum?

No. Trials of Aeternum brings Adventurers from PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S together through exploration, immersion, and progression toward common goals. All Standard, cross-play servers in any region can participate.

Are the Content Creator codes eligible for redemption on PC, PlayStation 5, or Xbox Series X|S?

Each Content Creator will share different codes depending on their team: Forest Green (Xbox Series X|S), River Blue (PlayStation 5), or Mountain Red (PC) weapon skins. Check out our announcement article for the full list of participating creators.
