Greetings, Adventurers!

New World: Aeternum Update 1.1.3 downtime will begin at 11:00 p.m. PT (7:00 a.m. UTC) on November 18 and last approximately 2 hours. Hunt down the Feathered Avenger of Death and his "fowl army" to earn unique, event-specific items like the new Drumstick of Death Flail Skin. Turkulon

Dinner has never been so dangerous. Satisfy your hunger for carnage when Turkulon returns from November 19 through December 3. Explore our official announcement for more details on rewards. We’ll also share additional event lore in a future blog.

General

  • Fixed an issue with the Raid: Barnacles and Black Powder and Plunder: Barnacles and Black Powder Faction Missions.

    • The chests inside of the Barnacles and Black Powder Expedition will now properly count toward the Plunder objective.

    • Admiral Blackpowder and the Nereid will now properly count toward their respective Raid goals.

  • Fixed an issue that caused players to get stuck when changing shards.

  • DX12 Beta Client: Fixed an issue that could cause a hang or crash when loading into the world on PCs with high core counts.

  • Fixed various issues that caused crashes through particle systems.

  • War: Fixed an issue that allowed defending players to gain entry into the attacker's camp.

  • Hive of Gorgons: Echidna’s reward should now spawn in the middle of the arena.

  • Fixed an issue that could lead to being unable to respawn after death.

  • Fixed an issue that prevented some PlayStation players from unlocking PlayStation Trophies.

  • Fixed an issue with boss spawns in Expeditions and Trials.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to mantle to areas higher than intended.

  • Fixed an issue that allowed players to climb camp walls in War.

AI

  • Fixed an issue that occasionally caused Typhon to get stuck and prevent progression.

  • Fixed an issue where Heru could sometimes unexpectedly wipe the encounter if the last player alive had no Death’s Door Revives remaining.

  • Fixed a potential exploit that allowed players to defeat Avarice in the Eternal Pool more easily than intended.

  • Fixed an issue where AI could be stunned or staggered while retreating.

  • Fixed an issue where hitting Broodmother Medusa with cleansing water throwables at the start of the fight could cause her health bar to never appear.

Combat Changes

  • Fixed an issue where players could take damage while blocking with a shield if performed after certain actions.

  • Fixed an issue where the Void Blade basic attacks could override triggering some of its abilities.

  • Slightly reduced the homing of Hatchet's basic attack to address how sticky it is.

  • Fixed an issue where equip load bonuses did not always persist after a teleport.

  • Fixed an issue where unnatural stuttering could occur for players when using heavy attacks.

  • Made the following updates to Target Lock in PvP:

    • Reduced aim speed when target locked onto an enemy player.

    • Paused turning/aiming at an enemy target when they dodge.

UX/UI/Social

  • Fixed an issue where LB/L1 was not remappable as a shift modifier.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the group HUD to show “Debug_Name” when loading the player names.

  • Fixed an issue that caused player names to not appear in chat.

  • Fixed an issue that caused name plates to disappear and flicker on screen.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the respawn screen to not show "Killed By" player in certain circumstances.

Economy, Progression, and Gear

  • Fixed an issue that caused the Turkulon Infused Turkey Ward Potion and Infused Turkey Coating to not have the proper event tag.

  • Fixed an issue that caused several Nightveil Hallow recipes to have the incorrect resource costs.

  • Fixed an issue that caused the new Nightveil Hallow patterns to have inconsistent required Crafting Trade Skill levels.
